CALL FOR PAPERS

Orapuh Journal prioritizes high-quality original research that reports on all conceivable aspects of oral and public health. The Journal also invites balanced, comprehensive, or critical review articles and good, evidence-based information for the oral and public health care consumer. Letters to the editor commenting on research or articles already published in the Journal and manuscripts describing new hypotheses or clinical trial protocols are also published by this Journal.

For any author to assert his right as an author of an Orap J article, he must have contributed substantially to the development of the article. Author(s) retain the copyright of their article published in Orap J. Orap J articles are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution Non-Commercial (CC BY- NC 4.0) license.

Even though our peer review and editorial processes are tailored to minimize errors in information each published article presents, all authors of Orap J published articles are responsible for the accuracy and integrity of the information they provide. Before publication, authors must sign a statement attesting that an article fulfills the authorship criteria. This statement may be signed by the lead or corresponding author on behalf of others.

Corresponding author
Where there is more than an author for an article, the authors must designate an author to act as the corresponding author, on behalf of other authors. All correspondences concerning the article will be made with this author

Authors are reminded that Orapuh Journal (Orap J) is a Journal of Oral and Public Health.

This journal welcomes the submission of
1. Original research papers
2. Review articles
3. Letters to the editor
4. Consumer information papers
5. Case reports

Format of manuscripts
1. Original Research Papers (<3500 words)
Original papers should be structured as follows: title page; a structured abstract (introduction, purpose, materials and methods, results, conclusions) of 300 words maximum; introduction; materials and methods (including appropriate sub-sections, e.g. statistical methods); results (tables and figures should appear where the corresponding results are presented); discussion; conclusions, acknowledgment; references (using the APA referencing model, 7th edition).

2. Review Articles and consumer info (<2500 words)
Should provide novel insights, analysis, and interpretation of the published literature and offer a balanced critical appraisal of established or emerging approaches to concepts/paradigms. This should have an introduction, body (divided into sections, with sub-headings), conclusion, and references (using the APA referencing model, 7th edition).

3. Letters to the editor and case reports (<2000 words)
Correspondence relating to work that was previously published in this Journal or brief comments, case reports, and/or observations may be submitted as a succinct letter to the editor. This should be written freely.

Submission
Article-Processing Charge (APC) – $30 (West African Authors) or $100 (others). Set manuscript in MS Word and send it to Editor-in-Chief at [email protected] or register and submit a manuscript online at https://orapuh.org/journal/ (Contact editor to tell you how to pay APC ). Orap J does not charge any publication fees. All articles are published free-of-charge.

Availability after publishing
The article will be sent to the author(s) and freely available and accessible online.

Deadline for submission
There is no deadline. Submission is always welcome. Articles are published as they are accepted.
